Statement
I am Associate Professor at the University of Leeds (UK) and have been a member of IAMCR since 2009, from the very beginning of my professional career. At that time IAMCR was the only international association and conference that offered a space and intellectual home for researchers studying media production, being instrumental in establishing a community of international scholars. I have been a regular contributor to the conference ever since and served as a Co-Chair for the Working Group Media Production Analysis for the last five years (ending in 2024).
The international nature and inclusive culture of IAMCR make the association special for me, not least due to my own experience as an international staff member working at a university in the UK. I believe international exchange and collaboration are critical for advancing knowledge and understanding, and IAMCR offers important opportunities to establish and nurture such relationships. Nevertheless, there are challenges the association faces in this effort including matters of inclusivity, accessibility and sustainability. I would like the opportunity to support IAMCR’s academic community accordingly and make a positive contribution as a member of the International Council.

Anna was one of the colleagues who made IAMCR such a pleasure for me from the start (for me in 2010). Moreover, I have had the pleasure of working with her as co-chair of the Media Production Analysis working group and as a media production research colleague. Anna is dedicated to her work and has a lot of expertise. And above all: she often had good ideas. She is also fun to work with!

I have known Anna for several years now and she participated in a journal's special section that I guest edited and published a couple of years ago. She is enthusiast, extremely responsible, and very dedicated to her work. I am positive that as member of the IC she would be a valuable asset, always bringing new ideas on how to make things work better for everyone. I fully support Anna as a member of the IC of IAMCR! :)
