Professor at the Department of Communication and at the Postgraduate Program in Communication of the Federal Fluminense University (UFF) and at the Postgraduate Program in Communication of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). He holds a PhD in communications from the Federal Fluminense University and completed a research internship at the Communication Department of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, in 2021-2022. He is the leader of the research group GEIST (Group for the Study of Images, Sonorities and Technologies) and Coordinator of the International Conference on Sonorities Research (CIPS), which takes place biannually in Brazil. His research is in the fields of digital culture, philosophies of music, musical technologies, and sound and film studies. Member of ‘The National Institute of Science and Technology in Informational Disputes and Sovereignties (INCT/DSI)’, funded by the CNPq agency in Brazil and composed of Brazilian researchers and researchers from countries such as Germany, South Africa, Spain, the United States, Colombia, Netherlands, India, Wales, Portugal, Ireland, Hungary, and Canada.
