IAMCR and the Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC) are pleased to announce that we have coordinated the dates of our 2014 conferences so interested scholars can participate in both. AMIC's conference will happen first, hosted by the Faculty of Communication Arts at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand from 9 to 12 July. There are regular direct flights from Bangkok to Hyderabad (about 3 hours and 30 minutes) so you can spend a day or two relaxing and seeing the sites in Thailand or India before IAMCR's conference starts on 15 July.
The theme for the AMIC 2014 conference is Communicating in an e-Asia: values, technologies and challenges. Further information on the conference venue and the 'call for papers' will be made available shortly on AMIC's website.
Chulalongkorn University, the Pillar of the Kingdom, is Thailand's first institution of higher learning and officially came into being in March, 1917. Chula, as it is affectionately known, is renowned internationally for its academic standards, teaching and research.
